Bio

Brandon Smith is a San Francisco Bay Area artist well known for his cityscapes and landscapes. He is equally masterful doing still life paintings, and is often commissioned as a portrait artist.  Smith’s contemporary subject elicits a timeless quality. His work reflects a thoughtful understanding for traditional oil painting techniques. His expressive brushwork which is flowing and precise evokes vibrancy and effortless movement that belies his meticulous process of developing his composition.

Smith became a faculty member at The Academy of Art University in 2003 and teaches a broad range of subject matter including Anatomy for artist, Figure Drawing, Figure painting, and Landscape painting.
